Hours & Expectations
As a rule, staff work-hours are 8:15am to 3:15pm with the following exceptions:
- The Site Administrator works 8am to 3:30pm(ish)
- AM SuperPlay Adventure Guides work a shifted schedule from 8am to 3pm
- The Assistant Site Administrator works 10:30am to 6:15pm
- SuperPlay Scouts work 2:45pm to 6pm
Staff members are given a scheduled 40 minute lunch break. Rangers take their lunch during the allocated lunch time on their camper’s daily schedule.
Adventure Guides typically take their lunch at the same time as their campers unless additional playground supervision is needed, in which case the Site Administrator and/or the Secretary of Shenanigans will create a schedule that assigns AGs to work during the Elementary camper’s lunch and take lunch during either Excursion 2 or 3. For camps with more than 50 elementary campers, please create a lunch supervision schedule for the Adventure Guides, adding one additional AG for every 25 campers. (i.e. 51-75 elementary campers = 1 AG supervises lunch, 76-100 elementary campers = 2 AGs supervise lunch). A Lunch Schedule Template can be found following the Set Up Day Agenda in the Daily Logs section of the Camp Management Binder.
Contacting Your Staff
You can access the personal phone and email information for your team via the Staff Contacts report available for download at the Report Manager. Please do not share staff information with members outside your team (i.e. parents) without prior consent. When you need to reach a staff member, please reach out through all contact channels: phone, email, and text. In recent years we have noticed that people tend to respond faster by text than phone or email.
Home Office Emails to Staff
The home office automatically sends regular emails to your team based on their role. (You too will receive these messages during camp.) They are meant to provide additional training and just-in-time reminders related to their role and lesson plans.
